Re: free fusion 7

Afaik you're only allowed to install in one machine for the free version.
But its honor system though.
Its too bad kray never supported multi layered exr.

Re: Corona Render Engine

The bat file? I don't see how to input resolution and number of passes.
It took less than 5 mins with 1024x576 with 100passes. Very noisy but lighting quality is very nice.

Re: We need Kray in 3Ds max thank u

Vray already dominates 3dmax.
And if you're 3dmax user you compete with 10000 3dmax users

Re: Latest exterior project

I love the home feeling of the renders. Which plant libraries do you use?
There's a new exterior setting by Janusz?

Standard method for gi animation in any biased renderer

bake background/static objects and render
render animated objects separetely with bruteforce.
composite both

I noticed also something strange. I switched now to 2.55 and speed is good. Because I used 2.55 long time and it was not problem then I suspect bug in last Kray.
I will post this to G.

So there's big bug in latest kray?

Re: Kray interior render and scene attached !

I checked the thread. I like the octane and kray renders the most.
Too bad a direct comparison can't be made since the renders look so different from each other due to post work.
Where's the modo thread?
Btw I think ingo thought lw render was 1 hour not 20 hours

Re: Kray interior render and scene attached !

Thanks for the info on the octane render time with your gpu. I'll check the newtek forums. Thats too bad. I had hoped its better than maxwell, etc since its gpu based. But yeah I have no plans to use octane for enclosed spaces its too slow. I already accepted that fact. Its pretty sweet for animatio...

Re: Kray interior render and scene attached !

Ah so the render I got is exactly the same raw output but just needs tonemapping and post work.
Wow 20 hours for the lightwave render engine.
How about the octane engine? How long did it take to get a decent render? I know its a bit unfair for octane to render interior scene but just curious.

Re: Kray interior render and scene attached !

Yeah those books I think are instancing error. The lighting seems drastically different, too, regardless of the texture.
1hr 34min you guys have patience. My limit is 20 mins

Re: Kray interior render and scene attached !

I rendered the scene without touching anything. 15min with I7. That's long render time for 750x500
Image so lws is different from first post scene.
What's the render time for the first post with that light setup just curious?
