About displacement I don't think we have other alternative than brute force and lots of RAM.
Here is the basic typical setup that I used. Render subpatch level varied between 7-20 level.
The minimum camera resolution was 6000 x 4500 pixels so I had really long render times.

Really good stuff. For displacement you must wait for K3.0. Do not worry , will be soon
