reflection maps

Hi , I was wondering if Kray will support reflection maps at some point, hopefully all reflection map modes (ref map + raytrace)

I know its not a "real" life world solution, but I think it will give more control on some cases, like reflecting windows in buildings, etc.. there are situations in which I cannot use a reflection dome without it affecting the lighting itself.

Anyway, just curious if this is possible, thanks for the great work !

Has this changed since 2008? Seems to me I can't get reflection maps to work, and I share the same idea: no, it's no photorealistic, but it can be a great timesaver - and I would like to set maps per surface for artistic freedom and speed so setting up a textured environment is not a good substitute.

This does not work. You can use reflection ball map , unseen by camera and shadows ...I think... :idea:

Hi Janusz,

Yep, I thought of that, but that doesn't allow per surface reflection maps.

yes I know. I think this is on the list so will be in future....
