You can Tonemap afterward, of course, but you have to know that depending on what you choose, you might need to change your textures before while Kray QLWF does it for you.

I would say tha using realistic settings for sun or Physy Sky should give you realistic results. As it's based on photons and light bouncing, if you want less shadows, let more sun get in.
